Day Tour to Petra and Wadi Rum (AQB 1)

Adult Price: from 265 $ to 295 $ per person (depending on number of people)
Wadi Rum , also known as The Valley of the Moon is a valley cut into the sandstone and granite rock in south Jordan at 60 Km to the east of Aqaba.
It is the largest wadi in Jordan. The name Rum most likely comes from an Aramaic root meaning 'high' or 'elevated'. To reflect its proper Arabic pronunciation, archaeologists transcribe it as Wadi Ramm. The highest elevation in Wadi rum is Mount Um Dami at more than 1800m above sea level.
From Aqaba Port you will be transferred by an air-conditioned vehicle about 1.5 hours to the rose red rock city Petra, a must-see in the Middle East. Upon arrival at the Visitor's Centre start with your guide on horseback or on foot to the Siq, a narrow gorge, and continue to the beautiful Treasury. From here walk to the Street of Facades and the Royal Tombs. After buffet lunch at 5 star hotel drive 1.5 hrs to the protected area of Wadi Rum, one of the most impressing desert landscapes in the world. The area was made famous in the west by Lawrence of Arabia who described it as "vast, echoing and god-like". Discover the area featured by rugged mountains and colored sand dunes during a 4x4 Jeep tour, enjoy canyons, sand dunes and rock inscriptions. Then continue 40 minutes to Aqaba Port.
